My time at Back Bay

What started in 2010, was my transition back into normal schooling. I before I was in home schooling for 2 long miserable years. When I first started Back Bay I was nervous, didn't want to be anywhere near the school. As I looked about the school I thought I saw no one I'd even remotely get along with. That changed when I went to first period life skills. I met my first friend Nikki. She had brown hair at the time and could draw amazing pictures(she still can). Over those next few months I met my friend Tonia and Kahla. It was a rocky start at first with Kahla but as months passed we found we had a few things in common and that we could stand to not kill each other.

What I liked about most of Back Bay was the teachers. They actually cared where you were at in your studies. My home school teacher didn't give a rats butt whether I passed or not. The teachers worked with each of the students and helped them succeed. Teacher like Lamar, Christopher and Greenwalt are the ones I'll miss the most. Lamar helped me a lot with my art. The best art teacher ever. He taught me many things about drawing people. Christopher was credit recovery, she kept everyone on track and would let you know when you were falling behind. She was funny and caring and did a lot for her students even when she went on maternity leave. Lastly was my wisecracking economy teach Greenwalt. He was a comic, dnd, and magic(the card game) fan. All of these thing I had also like. During class we usually sat and talked about those things, while at the same time teasing Kahla to get her work done.

As far as not liking things at back bay, I didn't like Liam, Mr.A, and Mrs. Milke. Liam the school security guard was hardly friendly. He'd find ways to stick his 2 cents in things that he didn't even know about. He'd accuse my friends of leaving trash places even though he'd see us put the trash in the trash cans. He found ways of mixing each of my friends up and then continue calling us the wrong names. I didn't like Mr.A one bit. His way of teaching was just wrong. One day in class when I didn't know how to do a math problem, he flat out called me a "dumb ass"because I didn't know how to do it. He never believed in his students. He was also VERY two-faced. One minute he'd be yelling his guts out to a student. Next minute another teacher or even principal Davis walked in and he was praising the student.
Mrs.Milke, another two-faced person who could NEVER get her facts straight. She'd be nice one minute and screaming at you the next. When she went out on maternity leave, the school was quiet and at peace.  I also didn't like how the cafeteria tend to ran out of food on some days...Cleaned out and didn't get lunch. Liam failed his job of keep lines in line when people were cutting.

Things I'll miss the most from Back Bay will be the atmosphere. Most of the staff really cared and did their best for each of the students. I'll miss girls groups too. It was a nice place where girls could learn how to prepare themselves for life or talk about feelings they generally couldn't to friends or family. I'll miss math with Walske because he taught me so much about math I didn't know. And that means a lot since when I came to BBHS I was 2 years in math because of my home schooling teachers. I'll miss all my teachers(except Mr.A...).  I'll miss all the people I've met, and the field trips to colleges I went to(even if I only went to just 2 of them). I met the president of Blizzard entertainment at one of them! I'll miss how each holiday the school went all out for. I hope to come back and visit everyone next year or in the following years. And Congrats to everyone graduating!!! class of 2011!!!

The Dark Knight

The Dark Knight is an award winning movie that fan of comics and movies with continue to love for generation. The Dark Knight is the sequel to Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins. Begins pales in comparison to the story and emotion in The Dark Knight. The plot takes place about a few months after the events of Begins. Batman, Commissioner Gordon, and the new DA in town Harvey Dent all must work together to bring down the local mafia and an even greater threat, The Joker as he pushes each of the men to their limits. Over this entire movie is great. The middle is a little drawn out but makes it up with non-stop action during the conclusion and finale. The cast of The Dark Knight is an all-star award winning team. Heath Ledger had won an Oscar for best role as a supporting actor. The movie has won 79 awards and 64 nominations. This movie is great for any moviegoer or comic book fan. Nolan takes the audience on journey through the Batman world like no other director has before. Nolan makes the Batman world come to life for a modern day audience. This makes the characters and feel more real. The actors did a really great job portraying each of the characters. One complaint I have is Christan Bale's voice he did while he played Batman. His voice was almost too deep. He sounded like a chain smoker. There was a few scenes in the movie that made because of his voice; you couldn't really understand what he was saying. But the movie is still really great anyway. Its chalk full of great lessons such as knowing your limits, and even good men have their downfalls.

Bruce Campbell vs The Army of Darkness

Robert Ebert gave Army of Darkness a average review. I also somewhat agree with him when he said Army wasn't as much fun as Evil Dead II, which was the prequel before Army. Evil Dead II was indeed fun but can't compare to classiness and comedic value that is Army of Darkness. Bruce Campbell is a cult classic actor. Army of Darkness will always be one of my favorite all time cult movie classics. The effects in the movie are silly which make this movie fun and entertaining. Bruce Campbell plays dual roles in this movie being both the "goody two shoes" and "Bad Ash".  Both roles drove the movie and is what made the Army of Darkness such a classic. As I said before the effects are silly in Army. However thats what makes the Evil Dead Trilogy. The blood and gore looks like a muppet massacre. Many of the props were puppets. This is what you get for a low budget film. All of the Evil Dead films and Army were this way,  what made the trilogy fun and humorous.

Portal 2 - PAX: Co-Op Trailer Video - Xbox 360 - IGN

Portal 2 - PAX: Co-Op Trailer Video - Xbox 360 - IGN

The following link leads to the trailer for a game called Portal 2. This game is something I've been waiting for. For maybe year and a half.  The trailer for the co-op mode looks pretty amazing. Its suppose to be relatively harder than the games main story line. As much as I'm excited for the main story line for portal I really want to play the co-op. It looks super fun and challenging both things I look for in a game.

My Dream School

If I were going to my absolute dream school I'd say I'd go to would to The Kubert School. The school is design to help aspiring comic book artist and cartoonist find the tools they need to graduate in these fields. The reason I want to there is because many of my own favorite comic artists had gone to the school. Only down side to the school is the school is all the way in Dover New Jersey.

But I really don't care how far it is, I'd do it. Its a really incredible school that one of my favorite publishers, DC comics even recommends. There are close to none comic book school in the U.S. and the ones that are in the U.S. are only found on the East coast. There was a school set to be developed for the west coast, however there has been no news on it except for its soon to be location in San Gabriel, California.

My 5 Year Plan

Because I'm going to be a high school graduate very soon; I get asked the same question all the time: Where do you see yourself in 5 years? First off, I just hope to make it to graduation day. But after I'm out of school I hope to take a year off from school to give myself a break. I've been working my fingers to the bone since 9th grade to get where I need to be.

During my year off from school I'm going to get a job. I don't have the kind of income from family that some people get on a silver platter. I also feel its a good way to teach myself responsibility with money. During this year of I also hope to work on my own comics.

The next year I hope to attend OCC's business classes to learn how to sell my comics. From there I hope I get an even better job working for a comic book publisher. If I have to I will work with the smaller publishers first and work my way up. This will take time up probably my whole 5 years.

My Favorite Hobbie

Out of all my hobbies and activities I do, I say my favorite is cosplaying or costume play. Cosplaying is when people dress up as characters from anything such as movies, games, comics, or anime and take pictures. Cosplayers generally cosplay for conventions or just for fun. I myself mainly cosplay for conventions or for special events. I will admit I have cosplayed for fun with out any special need such as, a convention or events. One of many events people cosplay at and I myself do too is for Comic con San Diego. Comic Con is a huge convention for comic lovers.
Myself Cosplaying character Harley Quinn from DC comics

Myself again cosplaying as a Left 4 Dead special infected called "The Hunter".

About Me

Hello, I like video games, goggles, drawing, comics and cosplays. I enjoy old school and new school gaming. My favorite old school game is paper boy, and my favorite new school is the left 4 dead series. And when I said goggles I did mean actual goggles. I love wearing them and I have a couple sets for when I go out or where I'm going. I do enjoy eating pie because cake is a lie, well red velvet isn't. Also I'm a pretty big fan of a Lost.
